Suddenly she had the mad impulse to get out of her room. She washed her dampened face, stuffed in the whole loaf of cake into her mouth and soon, she was out of her room. She ran down the stairs, braved her unsteady steps towards the guardhouse, and tried hard not to think of anything at all. Then, as she was a few inches away from the front gate, she turned back and walked all the way back to her room. She wasn't brave enough and she felt awful. I'll do whatever i want. She walked over to the nearby burger stall, and bought an egg burger for herself. Then she leaned on the wall of the corridor, thinking quietly. She stayed there for 25 minutes. Of all the time, the silence of the night forced her to walk back to her room. Again, she walked. Till she reached her room. There was nothing wrong at all. Just having a childish urge to defy her parents. And also to prove to herself that she’s capable of erm, buying herself an egg burger AND she's the infamous Lau Jiali who's not herself anymore. She has somehow dropped her personality in the midst of growing up.
